POP ART PORTRAITS

In 1º ESO we are painting portraits imitating Pop Art artists. We use carbon paper to transfer the drawing onto wood and they have to paint these portraits using different colours if they have the same painting, just like Warhol did.

MOBILIARIO CON PALETS

En 4º de la ESO el alumnado de Educación Plástica están creando mobiliario con palets. Se ha creado un grupo de aprendizaje y servicio para redecorar el patio del Colegio utilizando palets. Después de haber pensado mucho que mobiliario van a crear generan unos primeros bocetos y trabajos en 3D con el programa Google Sketchup. Una vez tuvimos claro el objeto comenzamos a construir.

DESIGNING SURFBOARDS

3º ESO students have designed their own surfboards including in the design impossible figures.
They had to draw the shape, cut it out and design their surfboard as real shapers. The surfboards  they have designed are very original and creative, and they´ve enjoyed doing this exercise a lot... Surf´s up!!!

 

OBJETOS A ESCALA / SCALED OBJECTS

En 3º de ESO hemos realizado un trabajo imitando los trabajos del escultor Claes Oldenburg. Para ello hemos creado objetos relacionados con el colegio a escala 30/1 y 10/1 en otros casos. Entre los objetos construidos encontramos un pendrive, lápices, paleta de pintor, chincheta, sacapuntas, etc...

FINAL PROJECT: AUDIOVISUAL LANGUAGE

Subject: Visual Arts 

Course/level: 3º E.S.O.

Title of the unit: Audiovisual Language

INTRODUCTION

In this unit we will learn about Audiovisual Language.The main learning outcomes and evaluation criteria for this unit are:

- To know and distinguish different type of camera shots and angles
- To know different camera movements
- To know different types of montage
- To know about the different meanings of colour 

TASK

The students will have to create a poster (in pairs) in which the following sections must appear:

1. Film´s plot
2. Technical analysis
3. Describing the main characters
4. Moral of the film
5. Explain and write in English what they have learnt about the film
6. Compare with films of the same genre
7. Look for pictures to ilustrate different camera shots, angles
8. Write and alternative ending fot the film they´ve chosen
9. Explain the reasons why they have chosen the film
10. Present the project to the class and recommend the film

FIRST SESSION 

In this activity they will use basic language to describe a film (30 minutes)

2.   Describing the main characters:

In the following web we´ll work the different adjectives to describe someone. They will have to write a short description of their favourite actor/actress. (30 minutes)

2nd and 3rd SESSION:

Audiovisual Language (theory)

1.1        To introduce the topic we will read a manual in which we explain some important concepts in Audiovisual Language. (20 minutes)

5 - 8th  SESSION:

In these 4 sessions they will design and create their poster in which all sections (Film´s plot, technical analysis, describing the main characters, moral of the film etc...)

During these sessions they can use any electronic device to connect to the internet and work in this project.

9 SESSION:

Students will have to prepare a Powerpoint presentation

10th and 11th SESSION:

Students will have to present their Powerpoint presentation to the rest of the class in which they explain their project and recommend the film they´ve chosen. The materials and resources used are digital whiteboard, computer and projector.

Complete self-evaluation to fulfil the evaluation progress (15 minutes)

By completing this tasks they will thoroughly demonstrate their writing, oral and listening skills and improve their vocabulary as well as demonstrate the knowledge acquired about the topic we have studied.

JUGANDO CON PRIMARIA

El alumnado de 1º E.S.O. invitó el pasado viernes a las clases de 3º de Primaria para que jugasen a los diferentes juegos que habían creado en Plástica y visual. Los juegos eran muy diferentes y entretenidos (circuitos de coches, pinball, recorridos por Europa, en el baño, campos de fútbol para jugar con chapas, de preguntas, etc...),y el alumnado de primaria disfrutó a lo grande de los mismos. Esperamos repetir esta actividad otros años debido al gran éxito que ha tenido entre el alumnado. Además felicitar al alumnado de 1º de ESO por su gran trabajo.

Casa de la Cascada (Fallingwater) es una obra del arquitecto estadounidense Frank Lloyd Wright y una de los hitos principales de la arquitectura del siglo XX. Está situada en Bear rum, Estados Unidos y fue terminada en 1939. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) es considerado por algunos autores como el mejor arquitecto estadounidense, y a su vez, la "casa de la cascada" su obra maestra.
